Marcus Lodge – Senior Arboriculturist

 

Arborman Tree Solutions owner operator, Marcus Lodge, is well known throughout the Arboricultural Profession and is a well-respected member of the industry.

 

Marcus has worked in the tree industry for the last twenty years. During that time he has been employed both in Local Government and as a Self-Employed Contractor.  Marcus is also a Founding Member and former Chairman of the South Australian Society of Arboriculture (SASA) and a Founding Member and former President of the International Society of Arboriculture - Australia Chapter (ISAAC)

 

The combination of Marcus’s qualifications and work with SASA, ISAAC, Local Government authorities and the private sector provides a well rounded knowledge, background and an understanding of the issues associated with trees in South Australia.

 

Marcus also currently provides training to Arboriculture trainees from both the private and Local Government sectors.

 

Professional Background

 

Over the time Marcus has been working in the Tree Industry he has undertaken studies relevant to the field, the following is a list of qualifications pertinent to this application.

 

·                    Diploma in Horticulture (Arboriculture)

·                    Advanced Certificate in Urban Horticulture

·                    Elevated Work Platform Workplace Assessor

·                    Workplace Trainer Category II, including Workplace Assessor

·                    Managing Occupational Health and Safety – Supervisors

·                    Development and Maintenance of Safe Work Systems

·                    Advanced Skills in Supervisory Management

·                    Senior First Aid Certificate

·                    Machinery Operators Certificates (Chainsaws, Chippers, EWP, etc)

·                    Work Zone Traffic Management

 

From the above list you can see that Marcus possesses both the knowledge and skills to undertake tree reports and audits as well as producing job descriptions and procedural standards relevant to Arboriculture.

 

 

Kevin Davey – Consulting Arboriculturist

 

Kevin Davey has been employed by Arborman Tree Solutions since December 2005 and is primarily operating as an Arboricultural Consultant in Park and Street Tree Audits.

 

Kevin’s background includes 20 years within the Horticultural and Arboricultural industry, his work experience includes working in small business both as a an employee and as a self employed contractor and more recently he has been working with large maintenance company as a Project Manager and Contracts Coordinator.

 

Kevin has completed his Level 3 – Certificate in Horticulture in 1990, Certificate 4 – Advanced Certificate in Urban Horticulture in 1994 and his Level 5 – Diploma in Arboriculture in 2004.

 

Kevin’s qualifications and work experience have made him a valuable team member.

 

David Sheldrick – Consulting Arboriculturist

 

David Sheldrick is employed by Arborman Tree Solutions primarily as an Arboricultural Consultant. David has recently returned to South Australia from London where he was working in one of England’s larger contracting firms as a Team Leader - Climbing Arborist where he was responsible for organising the daily work schedule and coordinating works within the priority framework of the company; David was responsible for private and contract works.

 

David’s background includes seven years within the tree industry, three of which were part time whilst at University, working in both large and small private Arboriculture companies.

 

During this time David commenced his Level 3 – Certificate in Arboriculture before attending the University of South Australia to complete a Degree in Applied Science - Biodiversity, Environment and Park Management, before heading to England. David is continuing his studies and is aiming to complete his Level 5 – Diploma in Arboriculture in 2005 whilst employed in Adelaide with Arborman Tree Solutions.

                       

The combination of David’s qualifications and work experience make him a valuable member of the Arborman Tree Solutions team.

 

Ingrid Gilbert

 

Ingrid is employed part-time as an Office Administrator and Bookkeeper.

 

Ingrid has extensive experience in office administration and customer service having previously worked with the State Manager of Avco Finance as a PA for nine and a half years and as the Administration Manager for Kristine Peters Project Management for three years.

 

Mandy Graetz

 

Mandy is employed as an Office Administrator and Data Entry Co-ordinator.

 

Mandy has extensive experience in office administration and customer service having previously worked in secretarial roles within the manufacturing industry and more recently as the Primary Reception and Customer Service Officer with the Western Area Business Enterprise Centre.
